“Database of globalization studies” is an indispensable part of “law and economic globalization”, a program of the 985 National Platform of Innovation in Philosophical and Social Sciences in Jilin University. The main purpose of this database is to provide an information platform for globalization studies, to integrate different sources of information and to collect comprehensively academic papers, legal documents, important current affairs and news and other forms of information, thus serving the program of “law and economic globalization” and providing a convenient access to necessary literature for researchers, teachers and students in and out of Jilin University as well as for researchers in this program.
    This database was initiated in March. 2005 and as of March 12th 2008, 57171 pieces of information (33095 in Chinese and 24076 in English) has been collected into it. This database now covers nearly all the aspects of globalization studies, consisting of globalization and civil society, globalization and sovereignty, global governance, economic globalization, the U.N. and globalization, global environmental problems, etc. In terms of disciplines, it covers legal science, political science, economics, philosophy, history, etc. In order to ensure the authority and technicality of this database, our working group has collected legal documents and reports of the U.N., World Band and other important international organizations, and has downloaded research reports and paper of authoritative institutes and well-known scholars.
