The discipline of legal theory in Jilin University is the key discipline in the second 2001-2005 and third 2007-2011 terms of the National 211 Project and our fundamental goal is to built this discipline into a center for scientific research, talent training, academic exchange, information and consultation service which is prestigious in China and influential in the whole world and to make this discipline a characteristic key discipline in China with a view to contributing more for the theoretical innovation of Marxist legal science and the training of legal talents in the 21st century, and for the socialist construction of a nation under the rule of law.
