1 Applied Jurisprudence
Applied jurisprudence is a new course with as its teaching target JM candidates of law and undergraduates of law in higher grades, and the concern of this course is to teach and discuss jurisprudential problems in branch laws. The purpose of this course lies in the effort to dissolve the artificial obstacle between jurisprudence and branch laws, to connect the disconnected jurisprudence and branch laws and to train students to use theories and methods of jurisprudence in thinking, analyzing and answering problems from branch laws. The lecturers of this course are scholars steeped in the study of applied jurisprudence. This course takes the form of theme lectures and the content of this course is mainly the research results of the lecturers and by far part of the lecture has been published.

2 Intensive Reading on Classics
This course has as its targets the JM candidates and the Ph. D. candidates majoring in jurisprudence and it takes the form of reading and translating original texts in English. The texts are selected by the lecturer and they mainly consist of classics in western history of law. Under the guidance of the lecturer, students read and translate the texts word by word and the goal is to understand precisely the meaning of the original text by translation. This course is widely adored by students and it even attracts many students majoring in philosophy, political science and sociology, etc. and students from other universities.
