The teaching staff of JRC have successively won 5 prizes for teaching achievements of national level and another 13 prizes for textbooks as well as teaching. In the year 1994, the textbook Jurisprudence won the National First Award for Teaching Achievements; the year 1997 witnessed the granting of the National Second Award for Teaching Achievements to “reform and suggestion of jurisprudence”; “reform of the graduate education in the discipline of legal theory” won the National Second Award for Teaching Achievements in 2001; “research and practice of the innovation in legal theory education” was granted Special Award for Teaching Achievements of Jilin Province and the National Second Award for Teaching Achievements in the year 2005; “project of the implement of educational reform in China’s legal science education” co-authored by Prof. Zhang Wenxian, Prof. Zeng Xianyi from Renmin University of China and another three professors won the National First Award for Teaching Achievements in the year 2005; the year 1993 saw the granting of the National Second Award for Excellent Textbooks in Colleges and Universities to Marxist Jurisprudence and this very textbook was further approved as Quality Textbook for Colleges and Universities by the Ministry of Education in the year 2007; in 2006, Jurisprudence: Marxist Theory, Methods and points of Law was granted the First Award for Textbook and Excellent Research Achievements of Law by the Ministry of Justice. Besides, many teachers and researchers of the JRC were awarded many honors and prizes for their excellent performance in teaching and research. The year 2003 witnessed the granting of the honor of Excellent Teachers of Jilin University, of Jilin Province and of China to Prof. Yao Jianzong; in 2004, Prof. Huang Wenyi won the Prize of Excellent Teacher by Baosteel Education Fund.
